Fired in reduction with a copper-based red glaze. The bowl features a flash of bright red inside the bowl, while the outside is pure white. The uneven color is a quirk of firing in a gas kiln where likely the flame burned away some color. These glaze effects are evidence of the handmade and one-of-a-kind nature of the work.
